I was born in Atlanta, Ga. but grew up in southeast Florida. I attended Florida Southern College for one year then transferred to Barry College in Miami where I earned a BS in nursing. Most of my nursing career was working in surgical ICU, although I did serve as a Head Nurse/Nursing Supervisor on a Head Trauma/Spinal Cord Unit for several years.
I discerned God's call into ministry in 1992, and began the process to become a Diaconal Minister and later a Deacon with my specialty and certification in Christian education. But God was not finished! In 1998, I discerned a call to be an Elder in the UMC and began my work towards my MDiv at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. As an elder I have served Calvary UMC in Lake Worth and Davie UMC.
I have a son, Harold, who lives in NYC and a very spoiled dog named Maggie. It is with great excitement that I come to St. Lukes UMC and I look forward to getting to know everyone and being involved as we reach out to the people of our community with the love of Jesus Christ.
